We had a girls' night earlier in the month where 10 girls came over and we made probably 10 different kinds of cookies for our shut-ins at church. We had alot of fun, tried some new recipes and spent about 3 hours working for a great cause.
We ended up making: chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, peanut butter with chocolate kisses, chocolate pecan mint cookies (the mint is hidden inside), holiday spice cranberry walnut cookies, nutella sandwich cookies, spice cranberry walnut cookies, Andes creme de menthe chunk cookies, Andes peppermint crunch chunkies (If you can't tell I like chocolate and mint together!) None of these recipes were really original. They were just a collection of recipe books, cooking magazines, and the pack of packages.
I put plastic table cloths on our dining room and kitchen tables and asked the girls to bring measuring utensils and baking sheets. I made sure we had all the ingredients for each of these recipes before hand which was a HUGE time saver.
The girls naturally paired up for each recipe, one oversaw putting cookies in and taking them out of the oven and another girl washed all those dishes. We were definately a machine!
